Windows Home Server includes a built-in web server so you can remotely access your server and files. The default home page for this built-in web server is typically a friendly splash screen page with a simple link to a logon page where anyone with a valid account (ex. family, friends, etc) can logon and view/access the files they have permission to access. Through the home server settings, you can even customize this page to change the default title and displayed text from “Windows Home Server Web Site” to whatever you’d like (ex. “The Johsnon’s Home Server”).
On the Acer Aspire easyStore H340, the default page is an Acer branded page that includes a link to the default Windows Homer Server page, but also a link to easyStore support and downloads and a link to the Acer website. This is Acer’s attempt at shameless self promotion (“look everyone – buy Acer!”).
